The Internet is transforming our daily lives, it changes how we work, socialize, entertain ourselves and do business. We are slowly figuring out how to leverage the Internet as a network by means of different types of new social media. This gives anyone connected an equal voice, whether you’re an individual consumer or a big multi-national company, it allows anyone to be creative and self-express, form ad-hoc organizations and work & play with others independent of physical boundaries.

The web has become a platform now, allowing entrepreneurs and developers to focus on creating new innovations fast. Physical storage & computing infrastructure and base functionality for web services are all available at low cost.

Understanding the impact of the Internet, leveraging it’s networked nature, is already difficult to grasp on its own. However, when taking into account the tremendous rate of innovation on the web, it’s mind-boggling.

But you know what? I like mind-boggling things! I think we live in very interesting times and am happy to share my thoughts about what these innovations could imply for us all.
